We interrupt your holiday weekend to bring you (possibly) the last drive-by gaying of the year. A film you should be aware of and on the look out for *cough* which is another way of saying that you should Google this sucker and find a way to acquire it and I have already seen version floating around so it shouldn't be too hard to track down... but I can't actually come right out and say that because that's illegal and we all know that it is wrong *cough*.

With Every Heartbeat (Kyss mig)
MIA (Ruth Vega Fernandez) and FRIDA (Liv Mjönes), both in their thirties, meet each other for the first time at their parents' engagement party. Mia's father, Lasse (Krister Henriksson), is about to get married to Frida's mother, Elizabeth (Lena Endre), which will make Mia and Frida stepsisters. Lasse's daughter, Mia, has not visited her father in years and arrives with her boyfriend, Tim (Joakim Nätterqvist), with whom she is about to get married. As Mia and Frida get to know one another, strong emotions begin to stir between them. Their relationship will turn everything upside down for everyone close to them with dramatic consequences.

I know this trailer looks all doom and gloom, but I promise, happy ending. And just look how cute and pretty everyone looks.

A post to mark the holiday season. May your family not drive you crazy. May you get something other than socks (unless you really love socks). And may you survive the coming holiday week enough to smile when your second cousin's significant other asks you why you aren't married yet. Photo I took yesterday...

A drive-by fandom update:
1. Tierra de Lobos ended its second season. TEARS! I've fallen off the deep end with that show and I am in love with all three Lobos sisters and their storylines. Almudena/Cesar...para siempre. *Ugly Crying* Unfortunately, there is no set date for the premiere for the third season. It could be as long as September 2012. I'll hold you if you hold me.

2. Already going crazy without Community.

3. Come to me, Downton Abbey Christmas special. Come to me, Doctor Who Christmas special.

If you are so inclined, leave me some love...

Drumroll, please! Who will be number one? Not who you think... well, that is, if you've given any thought to this at all, which you probably haven't. On to the top ten!

After reading all that, how about dropping me some season's greetings telling me how much I suck? Well, not really, but anything else is welcome. It makes me happy.

Well, it is that time of year again when I assess my fangirl life and feel compelled to make neat, concise (not so much) lists where I rank my love for people because, let's face it, everything is a contest. This year, I am only doing fifty names because a) I honestly couldn't think of 100 names this year. Does this mean I'm getting senile on my old age and b) Not many people read LJ anymore so ... YAY... fifty percent less work for me.

Ranking my love for people in pop culture life, you see patterns emerge that. Here are my 2011 trends:
1. If you are hilarious, adorable and ridiculous on Twitter, chances are my love for you will grow leaps and bounds... even more so if you post pictures of yourself and make fun of yourself constantly. Bonus points if you are able to express your political views without sounding preachy and, above all, if you can riff with humor in 140 characters or less.
2. MOAR GINGERS. Precise scientific calculations reveal that this list has 30% more red-heads than last year. This is a dramatic increase, but this could just be that Bridget Regan decided to go back to her natural red colour and completely messed up the scientific scale. But, never mind that... I blame this one on xraex21. My young, impressionable mind is unable to thwart your powerful influence. Red-heads, you gotta love them.
3. If you aren't from America, INSTANT CRUSH. The number of Brits, Spainards and Canadians on this list just makes one thing perfectly clear ... if I remain in America, I will die alone because everyone I am deeply attracted to lives on another continent.
4. If you played lesbian, you are probably on this list. I don't care if you only played a lesbian ... once... six years ago. You are probably on this list.

And now without further explanation....except, there is lots of explanation under this cut....

Another day, another foreign television show with smoking hot gayness emerges from the internet like a sweet oasis revealing itself in the middle of Death Valley. Társas | Játék is currently airing in Hungry and features the country's first lesbian couple on television. The story follows a woman in a loveless marriage who starts up a relationship with a very attractive massage therapist. Behold, the magic. Just active the player's closed captioning feature to see the English subtitles.

Follow this YouTube channel for updates. So far, so good. I have no idea where this storyline is headed and if it ends in heartache, but it may be worth the pain for introducing us to Tornyi Ildikó who plays the massage therapist. I have a feeling she will be your new, soft-butch crush of the moment. She boxes. She has an adorable smile. LOOK AT HER FACE. Did I mention the boxing?

And even if it doesn't last... KISSING...
