Allergies kept me indoors all day. mania_revisited is away so no drinking for me this weekend. I am the Jack McFarland to her Karen Walker. Just putting it out there. Still taking requests if anyone wants something. I hope the weather holds tomorrow long enough so that I can venture outside for a few hours. Sitting in front of my computer all the live-long day is effecting my eyes, I can feel it.

I've pissed the day away and I feel a bit guilty. The weather in New York at the moment isn't helping. We are on our fifth straight day of rain. It will not clear up until the weekend, which, truly is madness. I feel as though I should start to gather two of every animal, just in case. Plus, no new Otalia today. God is definitely taking the piss. Hiding indoors, I've split my time between reading fan fiction (yep, I've got to relieve that Otalia sexual tension some way) and watching loads of British telly, which has, I hate to admit, effected the way I verbalize my thoughts. Why does it only take four straight days of watching nothing but British programming for me to slip back into the days when I was living in London, fetching crisps at Tesco and having pint, sharing a laugh with my mates on Homer Street ... and live under the illusion that someone who grew up in American should use words like "crisps". Urgh. Believe me, my faux Britishness annoys even me! Have I mentioned its been raining for five fucking days? It is like I'm in London.

But moving on, one quick announcement before I move on into some random fangirling. Word is hitting the web that The CW is NOT picking up the Gossip Girl spin-off centering on the wild antics of teenage Lily in the 80's, which is surprising since I heard good buzz about it. It was a "sure-lock" for pick-up only a few short weeks ago. In other words, enjoy next week's episode of Gossip Girl because that's all she wrote for teen Lily.

Next, let's talk a bit series one of Skins. Finally caught the entire first series and I adored it. I am sort of glad that I caught series three prior to this one. I know I would have resented the new cast just a little for taking the place of my favorite characters. I adore everyone on this show, well, except for Tony and Michelle. Those two could jump off a bridge as far as I'm concerned.

I remember when I was a kid and there was this time of the year called "Spring". I remember it fondly. Light, warm thunderstorms, cool breezes and nice temperatures. It was glorious. A week ago, it was around 45 degrees (7c), I had to wear two layers to keep the chill away. Today it is 91 FUCKING DEGREES (32c). I walk around in direct sunlight for more than ten minutes, I have an instant tan and headache. Global warming, I DO NOT WANT.

I had plans to go enjoy the nice weather outside, but since I'm a weather wuss and anything over 85 degrees sends me running back to the comfort of the shade indoors, I decided to make these icons. I saw there was a serious lack of Otalia kissage icons, I hope this post makes for that.

I recently discovered this playlist with over 100 clips of Otalia clips from 2008 ... who needs blazing hot sunshine anyway.

I spent this weekend drunk, talking about gay T.V., sober and watching gay T.V. I think I have a disease and I appear to be contagious.

A mini-spaz alert: I've been watching Being Erica and I am completely in love. This week's episode was the obligatory "I kissed a girl and I liked it, but still like penis" episode. It was handled surprisingly well and I wasn't offended, but I think this has more to do with Erica being so cute and the object of her passing gay affection was uber hot. Making out. Making out. Yes, I am shameless.
